🏛️ [Suggestion] Turn the Town Hall into a Real Command Center — Deputy Mayor System
Hey fellow Mayors! 👋
Go-Go Town is an absolutely cozy gem, and I’m in love with the building vibe,
the co-op chaos, and that signature TownCo. energy. But the bigger my town gets,
the more I catch myself thinking: I’m supposed to be the Mayor, yet I’m personally
restocking every shop, chasing down couriers, and patching roads myself.
The Town Hall looks beautiful… but right now it’s just set dressing.
I’d love to pitch an idea that I think would be a natural evolution for the game —
one that keeps the depth but lifts the late-game grind off the player’s shoulders.
💡 The Core Idea: Deputy Mayors inside the Town Hall
What if the Town Hall became a true strategic hub? What if the Mayor had actual
assistants — NPC Deputies you could hire, level up, and assign to entire sectors
of the city?
🎩 The Deputy Roster & What They Manage:
• 🏗️ Deputy of Infrastructure & Zoning
— Monitors road conditions and building integrity, suggests new zoning areas,
can auto-repair minor wear and tear.
• 💰 Deputy of Economy & Commerce
— Assigns Townies to open jobs, watches shop stock levels, keeps pricing healthy.
• 🎢 Deputy of Tourism & Entertainment
— Reads tourist preferences, proposes events and new attractions to boost ratings.
• 🚚 Deputy of Logistics
— Optimizes courier routes, flags supply bottlenecks before they choke the town.
• 🌳 Deputy of Environment & Public Order
— Hires cleaners, warns about incoming disasters, proposes greening projects.
⚙️ How It Would Work Mechanically:
The Assignment Board in Town Hall
You pin a task: “Build 3 houses in District X” or “Make sure every shop is staffed.”
The Deputy takes it and executes it automatically (spending resources and time).
You stay in control without doing every little thing yourself.
Daily Briefings
Each morning, Deputies bring you reports: “District B is short on workers,”
“Tourists are asking for 3-star dining,” “The courier network is at capacity.”
You make the strategic call; they handle the legwork.
EGO Point Progression
Deputies level up with EGO Points. Higher-level Deputies handle bigger projects,
make fewer mistakes, and unlock advanced automation. This adds a whole new
progression track beyond just construction.
Co-op Role Integration
In online co-op (up to 4 players), Deputies could become playable roles.
One friend runs the economy, another handles infrastructure, the host plays
the Mayor coordinating everything. Co-op finally gets structure instead of
four people sprinting in different directions.
🎯 Deputy-Generated Quests & Events
Here’s where it gets really fun — Deputies shouldn’t just take orders.
They should also give them.
• 📝 Mini-Missions & Challenges
Deputies approach you with situational quests:
“The Tourism Deputy wants to host a ‘Beach Festival’ — build 5 beach chairs
and a juice bar in 3 days for a tourist influx.”
“The Logistics Deputy spotted a smuggling rumor — investigate the docks
and assign extra security.”
• 🎲 Randomized Town Events
Deputies trigger dynamic events based on their domain:
— Infrastructure Deputy: “A bridge collapsed! Emergency repair quest.”
— Economy Deputy: “A famous critic is visiting tomorrow — make sure
the restaurants are fully stocked.”
— Environment Deputy: “A rare bird was spotted nearby — create a nature
trail for a reputation boost.”
• 🤝 Deputy Rivalries & Dilemmas
Two Deputies might propose conflicting solutions to the same problem.
The Economy Deputy wants to clear a forest for a shopping mall.
The Environment Deputy wants to turn it into a park.
You, the Mayor, choose — and your decision affects town happiness
and Deputy loyalty.
• 🏆 Deputy-Led Tournaments
During Top Town Tournament phases, Deputies could run their own
“mini-challenges” inside the main event: “Logistics Week — maintain
zero delivery delays for 3 days” with unique rewards.
This turns the Town Hall into a living, breathing place where something
interesting is always happening. It replaces the late-game “checklist fatigue”
with a steady stream of fun, contextual content.
✨ Why This Is Great for the Game:
• Solves the late-game grind. Towns get huge; micromanagement scales badly.
• The Town Hall finally matters. It’s the seat of power, not a pretty box.
• Preserves depth. The player isn’t removed from management — they delegate.
• Adds infinite replayability. Deputy-generated quests mean no two weeks feel identical.
• A natural extension of existing automation. We already have couriers and worker Townies —
giving them managers just makes sense.

Closing this post! This reads like AI-generated suggestions, and would be a massive change to the way the game works, which is not what this board is for.
